What does the error look like in Channable?
With our Bol.com API you can easily send your products to Bol.com with their stock and pricing information updated every day. However, the first time you send your products to Bol.com (or when you have added new products that have not been sent to Bol.com before), you might get the "Unmatched Offer" error in the preview step of your Bol.com API. This means that you have to add these new products to the Bol.com EAN database, before our Bol.com API can send and update these products every day.
To find out if there are products that have to be added to the Bol.com database, first go to APIs on the left-hand side in Channable. Next, go to the "Preview" step of your Bol.com API, and click on the errors tab.
If you see the "Unmatched Offer" error in the next screen, this means that there are some products of which the EAN number is not yet known to the Bol.com database. Bol.com will only accept products from our marketplace for which the EAN number is added to the Bol.com database. This means that you have to add these EAN numbers along with the corresponding product information.

In your Bol.com seller account you will also see an error for these products. In the products overview they will contain the message "Productinformatie zwak (offline)". Furthermore, the stock for these "Unmatched offer" products will be set to 0 since it is not possible to sell these product before adding the product information to the EAN database.
How do I solve the error?
Step 1: Content FTPS account
To add this product information Bol.com, you need to use their content FTPS solution to transfer this product information to Bol.com. With content FTPS we can send a content file with this additional product content to Bol.com, so that they can process it automatically. To make use of the content FTPS, you have to apply for a content FTPS account, Channable customers have to use the following form:
After filling in this form Bol.com will send you an email containing a user name and password for your content FTPS account. Then, you can add these credentials to the Bol.com connection. Go to 'Connections' via your name in the top right corner and edit your Bol.com connection.
Step 2: Bol.com product information requirements
Once you have edited and run the Bol API, Bol.com starts processing the product information and EANs that you provide. After a few moments Bol.com will show you an overview of how many products have successfully been added to the product database and how many couldn't be added to the database. The products that were successfully added should be visible in Bol.com after 48 hours.
If products are not visible in your Bol.com account after 48 hours the product information for those products is not complete enough according to the Bol.com standards and Bol.com will have created a feedback Excel file that contains the specific errors for you products. You can request this file by sending an email to email@example.com. In the email please include your Channable account ID and you content FTPS user name. We will then send you your feedback file.
Step 3: Inspecting the errors
Now open up the Excel file to find out what information needs to be changed or added in order to successfully add the refused products to the Bol.com database. The Excel file should look similar to this one:
The first page you should see in the page above. On top, you get a description of how this file works, which we would advise you to read once. On the bottom you should see one or more tabs for different categories of your products. These tabs contain the products that have been rejected because the product information for these products is not sufficient. Click on a tab to get an overview like this:
Here you can find red highlighted fields which show you which information is missing for each product. In the example above the attribute "product breedte" is mandatory for this type of products. The next step is to add the missing attributes for these products in Channable.
Step 4: Adding attributes in Channable
In the Attributes phase in your Bol.com marketplace, you can add the attributes required by Bol.com.
In the attributes section you will get an overview of your different categories which have their different attributes. Here you can select the category for which you would like to add attributes. After selecting the right category an overview will appear. The red fields are demanded, whereas the grey fields are optional. Make sure to have filled all the demanded fields in the right way - if an invalid value is given the field will stay red.
In the image above you can see that there are a few red fields. We can fill these by adding an attribute value.
Click on the attribute wanted, for example 'Kledingmaat':
In some cases you want to send the same value for this attribute for every product. In that case you can simply type the value you want to send through in the field "Attribute value".
However, in most cases the information you need to add is different for each product and therefore typing a static value in "Attribute value" is not good enough. In this case it is better to choose a field from Channable that contains the right information. You can do this as shown below:
Make sure that you have a field generated (edit mapping) and filled (rules) if this field is not automatically available from your import feed or connection with your web shop. It is important that the field you select here contains the information you want to add to the selected attribute. You can always check this by going to "Products" on the left menu of Channable and searching the product that you need to add this attribute for. Just click that product and find the field you have selected to see if it contains the right information. If it doesn't contain the right information, you could go to the Rules section in the Bol.com marketplace to add the right information to the selected field (feel free to contact our support team if you don't know how to do this).
By clicking on the 'plus' you will get a drop-down where you can select the field that you want to add as an attribute:

Step 5: Running the API again
Once you have added all attributes that were shown in red in your Bol.com attribute builder, you can go to APIs in Channable and click "Run now" on the Bol.com marketplace and wait for it to be finished. The content will now be updated with the right attributes, which should result in your products being accepted for the Bol.com database.
The final step is to wait for Bol.com to process the information. (see step 2).
